One Inital Brief...One Inital Thought...

We have been set for our advance production the task of creating a short film, that lasts for five minutes. We must expand our knowledge, and show how our skill have developed in relation to key media elements. Similar to how with our foundation production, we must plan every aspect from the initial ideas to the development of the final idea, from research into target audiences to finding our ideal locations and actors. We must create our own storyboards, scripts, music and lightening, however we must also create our own film poster and review page in order to complete our ancillary task. Similar to our foundation production we must at the end do a full evaluation, however within this evaluation we must also take on board how we have developed our media skills and knowledge from our foundation production to our advance production.

Creation of a Short Film : The Year Planned Out...

After creating a filming timetable last year for the reason to review it in year 13 I thought I better do just that, I found that last year due to a change in location (I was unable to use the police station) and the need to call on my friends and family to be my actors for me, as the garage who I emailed about possible actors had a big productions coming up, that in media it is very rare that the road to film making is completly smooth, therefore this year I have created not only a filming and editing timestable but a whole year timetable in order to ensure that I have completed all the necessary tasks, but also feel a little less stressed so I can enjoy the process of filmaking! Seeing all the tasks we are due to do, although seems a little over whelming at the moment, also is exciting and I cannot wait to get started and stuck into the creation of my short film!
